I have a feeling about Nvidia this time.

We all know the usual pattern: Nvidia crushes expectations, and then the stock gets hit anyway. But this time, the sentiment feels different. Instead of rockets and “Nvidia to the moon” memes, people seem much more cautious and tired of falling into the same trap.

So, considering the market loves doing the opposite of what everyone expects… what if Nvidia actually goes up this time?

The “beat → dump” pattern is so well known now that maybe the real surprise would be breaking it.

- 🇺🇸 - US stocks gained on Tuesday as investors brushed aside worries about new trade measures against Canada, even as Canada announced new retaliatory tariffs on US goods. Markets also continued to weigh looming Nvidia ($NVDA) earnings and predictions for Kevin Warsh's first Jackson Hole speech as Fed chair.

- Nvidia stock rose 2% ahead of its highly anticipated quarterly results due out tomorrow, snapping a seven day losing streak.

- The US and Canada have ratcheted up their rhetoric, they have left oil off the table for now, even as they raise tariffs on steel, dairy, and other products.

- The price of bitcoin, meanwhile, briefly surged above $80,000 for the first time in three months after the Treasury's intervention in the bond market revived concerns about dollar debasement, sending investors to alternative assets. Gold too, continued its march higher.

- DICK's Sporting Goods ($DKS) stock sank 30% after the retailer missed second quarter expectations and cut its full-year outlook due to challenging conditions in the athletic marketplace.

- The latest economic data releases showed that both new home sales and a measure of consumer confidence fell to their lowest levels since January as cost of living pressures weighed on consumers.

- The Dow Jones Industrial Average and the S&P 500 rose by 0.3%. The tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite advanced by 0.6%, recovering from Monday's tech declines.
The 10-year Treasury yield dropped 6 basis points to 4.63%, while the 30-year yield fell to 5.17%.

- 🇬🇧 - The FTSE 100 edged 0.3% higher on Tuesday, extending its winning streak to six sessions, its longest run since May.

Honestly, I’m taking the reverse split announcement as a positive going into the Nasdaq situation.

CYCU are now actually taking action to address the $1 Nasdaq requirement with the 1-for-8 split. That gives the company another route to get the share price back where it needs to be rather than just sitting there hoping the price sorts itself out.

Obviously the split itself doesn’t guarantee anything with Nasdaq, and I’m not going to pretend it does. But I’d rather see management taking action and giving themselves another option than doing nothing.

The hearing has already happened, so now it’s basically a waiting game for the Panel’s decision. But for me, today’s announcement gives me a bit more confidence that the company is actively trying to deal with the Nasdaq issue.

Still here, still watching and still hopeful. 🤞

NVIDIA’s results are excellent, especially for the broader AI sector. 🚀

Revenue came in at $96.2B, up 106% YoY, while Q3 guidance of $108B ±2% came in well above expectations. Blackwell demand remains robust, Vera Rubin shipments have already started, and hyperscaler demand continues to accelerate.

For the AI infrastructure, semiconductor, memory and storage sectors, this is a very strong signal that AI spending and demand remain extremely strong. 🟢

They have not 100% been clear with us as two splits within a year is against the rulebook, let’s see if they already got guidance for this move during the meeting .

Hopefully we can see some clarification in the next coming days or weeks 🫡

There are many speculations around why they have done this …

Small flat ext , less power for shorters now that we know this has happened, if we remain listed then thats another catalyst on top of the new stock new share price , would make it easier to try remain above $1
