It genuinely causes me physical pain seeing a company like this so deeply undervalued with 0 basis…

New research facility
Unilever is building a new American research facility.
The London-based company is investing $270 million to build an innovation center in New Haven, Conn., with plans to develop skin and hair products for the U.S. market and global customers.
“The U.S. is very much the center of gravity for Unilever,” said Herrish Patel, president of Unilever USA. India is another important market for the refashioned company. “Just think about these two powerhouses that we’re building,” Patel said.
Among other capabilities, the new site will be the company’s global center for skin care and cleansing and have a “human performance lab” that will enable on-site testing of ingestibles.
Patel said he expects that marketers based at its Hoboken, N.J., corporate offices will be spending a lot of time at the new hub, which will allow the company to create new products more quickly.
“If something’s trending on social, we can make a dash to New Haven and figure out how we can quickly put something out there,” he said.
About 300 employees will work at the center, which will replace a facility in Trumbull, Conn.

Hold tight for a 40p for the Qtr. Only got 352 shares, but a great income stock.

First-quarter first-quarter sales of €12.6bn growth of 3.8% (3.6% expected).
First-quarter sales were slightly better than expected, and Unilever has reiterated full-year guidance.
Unilever’s reported first-quarter sales of €12.6bn, reflecting underlying growth of 3.8% (3.6% expected). The uplift was driven by a 2.9% increase in volumes, with higher prices making up the remainder. Growth was broad-based across all business divisions.
By region, Emerging Markets continued to grow at a faster pace than Developed Markets, driven by a strong performance in India.
Full-year guidance remains unchanged, with underlying sales growth expected to be toward the lower end of its 4-6% mid-term target level.
A quarterly dividend of €0.4664 per share was announced, up 3.0%. A new €1.5bn share buyback programme begins today and is expected to complete by 6 July 2026.

Should be higher 📈
I’m very surprised that Unilever isn’t higher tbh.
Just like $PG their products are used on a daily and are recession proof.
Again like $PG they pay a dividend (best for long term hold)
I can see my self buying this, are you a long term investor in this great company?

Is It Time To Reassess Unilever (LSE:ULVR) After Its Recent Share Price Slide?
Couldnt agree more. Market has not red this correctly due to lack of understanding, which is rare.
Barclays has defended Unilever PLC's (LSE:ULVR) decision to sell its Foods division to American spice giant McCormick, arguing that investor frustration with the deal's complexity is understandable but likely to fade over time.
Both Unilever and McCormick shares have fallen around 8-9% since the deal was announced on 31 March, an unusually poor reception given that transactions of this kind rarely leave both parties worse off immediately.
Barclays believes the board misjudged how much investor support it would receive, given the significant improvements Unilever has delivered over the past three years.
The deal was not planned: McCormick approached Unilever, which then had a duty to consider the offer given the strong strategic fit and absence of any category overlap between the two businesses.
The transaction is structured as a Reverse Morris Trust, a legal mechanism that eliminates US capital gains tax on the deal, saving Unilever an estimated €1.5 billion to €2 billion compared with a straightforward sale.
Unilever will receive €13.7 billion in cash at closing, more than Barclays had expected, which the bank says effectively covers the estimated €4 billion non-US tax bill.
Each Unilever shareholder will receive approximately 0.2 McCormick shares for every Unilever share they hold, making them majority owners of the enlarged McCormick business.
The remaining Unilever business will be a focused home and personal care company with revenues of around €39 billion, spanning brands across haircare, skincare, deodorants and household cleaning products.
Over the past three years, Unilever's personal care and household products business has grown volumes by 2.5% annually, compared with just 0.3% for its peers, a performance record that has been obscured by the slower-growing Foods division.
Barclays rates Unilever overweight with a price target of 5,500p, implying upside of around 32% from the current share price of 4,173p.
The bank says the current valuation trades at a near 25% discount to comparable consumer goods companies, a gap it regards as unwarranted given Unilever's track record.

SO OVERSOLD STILL..
Market acting like its just caught wind of this tie up transaction and hammering the share price. If you can see through the noise here, take wind of what the company is saying and ignore what the market wants you to think. $15bn coming in and news of what they do with it will be interesting. Skin is on part debt, part buy back which should appease the market.
This is a gift to the share price which should enjoy a non-dead cat bounce once the Gulf war has ended, before the two way pull between profit takers and doom mongers.

My entry point is approaching!
I've been looking at this one for a WHILE, thought it was a good business with an attractive dividend.
Then it shot up, thought it was just tesla thst had that much forward thinking baked in
15% more would be ideal but another 10% start the position.
What are our thoughts on the food restructure?
I’ve not added to my position in Unilever since April 2024 when the share price was £37.40 approx but have noticed the share price drop by 9% over the last month. Anyone know the reason behind this drop?
