*Yesterday's overview* 📉📈👀
- 🇺🇸 - US stocks got hammered on Thursday as the latest AI spending outlooks from Alphabet ($GOOGL) and Tesla ($TSLA) spooked investors, and oil prices surged above $100 in the wake of expanded attacks in the Middle East.

- As the US-Iran war has widened, rising oil prices spurred a sell off in bonds, sending the 10-year to its highest level in a year and a half amid renewed inflation concerns.

- Intel ($INTC) reported its second quarter earnings after the bell, blowing past Wall Street's expectations on both the top and bottom lines and topping third quarter guidance estimates. Intel stock popped following the announcement even though it later cooled off a bit.
For the quarter, Intel saw earnings per share of $0.38 on revenue of $16.1 billion. Wall Street was anticipating EPS of $0.21 on revenue of $14.43 billion.

- On the economic data front, initial jobless claims unexpectedly dropped to their lowest level since 1969. Claims fell to 187,000 for the week, against expectations of 210,000 first-time claims.

- The Nasdaq suffered the worst of the losses, tumbling 2.1% and briefly breaking below 25,000 for the first time since May. The Dow Jones dropped 0.9%, meanwhile, and the S&P 500 fell by 1.2%, building on a stock retreat on Wednesday amid a flurry of earnings reports.
The 10-year yield rose 0.046 percentage point to 4.703%.

- 🇬🇧 - The FTSE 100 fell more than 0.5% on Thursday, as Brent extended gains for a fifth straight session to above $100 a barrel. Oil prices rallied after Iran-backed Houthi forces claimed attacks on two oil tankers in the Red Sea, reinforcing supply concerns.

- 🇪🇺 - European stocks closed sharply lower on Thursday, as the surge in energy prices risked higher interest rates in the Eurozone, while markets parsed a series of earnings results. The Euro STOXX 50 fell 1.7% and the STOXX Europe 600 dropped 1.3%.

- 🇯🇵🇨🇳 - The Nikkei 225 Index rose 0.46% to close at 66,422, while the broader Topix Index was up 0.51% to 4,054 on Thursday, led by gains in chip-related stocks.
The Shanghai Composite rose 0.25% to close at a one-week high of 3,876.8, while the Shenzhen Component gained 0.44%, as investor optimism grew that Chinese technology firms will benefit from a global surge in AI infrastructure spending.

- 🌏🌎🌍 - The MSCI World index went down by 1.12% on Thursday.

- The Trump administration has imposed new tariffs overnight on dozens of countries over alleged forced labour violations.
The duties, set between 10% and 12.5%, will effectively replace President Donald Trump’s temporary 10% global tariffs, which are set to expire at the same time as the new ones take effect. This will impact on multiple countries around the world plus the European Union.

- Stocks in London are set to open lower today, with conflict worry and now tariff concerns hitting equity market enthusiasm.

- UK consumer confidence improved in July, survey results showed today.
The overall score for the GfK UK consumer confidence index rose to minus 17 points in July from minus 23 points in June.
A reading of minus 21 was expected based on the consensus forecast cited by FXStreet.

- European stocks are seen opening mixed today after chipmaker Intel reported blowout second quarter earnings and guidance for the third quarter, driven by growing AI demand for server chips.

- Asian stock markets fell across the board today as intensifying US-Iran conflict and US President Donald Trump's new tariffs temper investors' appetite for riskier assets. Japan’s Nikkei N225 is down nearly 3% while South Korea's KOSPI declined over 4.5%, underperforming broader markets.

If you are still trying to build a bag for the future these price drops aren't bad at all. Yeah, I know it sucks if you bought near the top and don't have extra cash to DCA. 
I still believe this will be a much bigger market cap in the future. I'm not too bothered and using the opportunity to acquire, but slowly and with caution because we don't know when this will stop exactly.
I keep remembering what Peter Beck said back in the bad old days of $4 RKLB (and yes they were bad when your average was $10 lol) He said he didn't care about the price and just carried on trying to build the best rockets he could. The price then takes care of itself. But you need to display patience and discipline.
