Q2 2026 Call thoughts

Prefacing this by saying these are my personal takeaways from the call, but this is what I heard: The headline numbers were obviously excellent, but what stood out to me was the confidence and visibility management has into the next few years. Scorpio X is now in volume production and will become Astera’s largest product family one quarter ahead of plan. Management also said they now have 10+ customers engaged, with additional customer ramps expected later this year and into 2027. One theme management kept coming back to was increasing content per accelerator. They talked repeatedly about AI architectures becoming more complex, driving higher attach rates and more switching. They said Scorpio X alone now represents over $1,000 per XPU, with total Astera content expected to continue increasing through UALink, optics and other connectivity solutions. I also found it encouraging that the story wasn’t just Scorpio. Aries continues to perform strongly, CXL appears to be gaining real traction again (they definitely had a bit of a “we told you so” moment on CXL! 😅), UALink remains on track for 2027, and management laid out a detailed optical roadmap extending into 2028. The Q&A was also interesting. Analysts weren’t asking whether demand was slowing—they were asking how big Scorpio could become, how content per accelerator evolves, and what the next growth drivers are. Management responded with detailed answers around customer engagement, product roadmaps and future platforms rather than broad generalisations, which I thought added credibility. I came away thinking this wasn’t just a strong quarter. The message from management was that customer adoption is broadening, the value Astera captures inside each AI system is increasing, and there are multiple additional growth opportunities still to come beyond the current Scorpio ramp.

Another Spicy Opener

Well this has def been Asteras week in my min, ATHs smashed multiple times, good breakout today despite an already strong week, let’s see, does it fade from profit taking, does it hold and climb… Either way, this definitely looks to have been a decisive week for confidence in Astera!

Key moment

Going to be very interested to see if Astera holds these gains going into the open trading session today. Fact it performed so well during the last 4 day tech sell off surely tells us something about its strength. If it holds and grinds higher we could be looking at a new ATH by the end of the week! Then things really do get interesting.

Institutional Confidence

Earnings Call

Listened to the call — strong tone throughout. Biggest takeaway for me was that management framed the shift toward agentic / inference AI as creating more opportunity for Astera, not less — more demand for low-latency connectivity, memory movement, KV cache and in-network compute all play directly into where they’re expanding. Scorpio X was the standout. Management called it a “greenfield” opportunity, which to me was one of the most important tells on the call — not just product growth, but exposure to a new layer of AI infrastructure spend. They also sounded notably confident discussing deeper custom engagements, including work underway with Nvidia and a hyperscaler that they expect to start monetising in 2027. That felt like a meaningful signal: Astera looks to be moving further into the architecture layer, not just selling bolt-on connectivity. Overall the call felt less like “solid quarter” and more like Astera steadily expanding from connectivity vendor into a broader AI infrastructure platform. Whatever happens with the share price over the next few days, I am not worried and I won’t be selling.
