Came on here to gain perspective on people thought of the future prospects of this company whilst providing my own insight. Their TTM EPS is $1.32 with a 3.89% profit margin. that would imply a TTM P/E of approximately 80x with a clear goal to get back to their historic average of roughly 10% profit margins. to get there in quick succession one could argue some top line compression is an inevitability and considering the competitive landscape at hand 10% profit margins are going to be about as good as it gets unless they alter their entire business model. so although it may seem counterintuitive i believe the best was to evaluate where this company will be in the next 10 years if all goes well is to assume a consistent 5% annual compound top line growth rate, then see where they will be at if they reach 10% profit margins off the top line. Last year revenue = 37,184,000,000 +5% compound growth = 60,569,000,000 10% 0f 60,569,000,000 = 6,057,000,000 so if my calculations are correct, if they reach 10% margins by 2035 and consistently grow top line 5% you will see them net $6.06B in 2035. if the stock trades at $100 now it is worth $114B. $114B ÷ $6.06B = 18.81x P/E assumed fair EPS in 2035 = 25x P/E $6.06B x 25 = $151.5B so assuming you bought the stock at $100 with a 114B valuation, if all goes perfectly to plan... $114B > $151.5B = 33% stock appreciation over a decade which compounds to 3.03% YoY. so in essence assuming a 25 P/E when all is said and done my prediction is this stock will roughly be trading at $133 in 2035 unless hyper inflation comes back. you will get a roughly 3% dividend yield on top so you'll approximately net 6% YoY. I am of the opinion this is an abysmal return to see after taking such a risk. last CEO spent years trying to pivot to cater to the more value oriented consumer as he realised the wealth divide is only getting worse and although starbucks is a "premium brand" Brian seems to be of the impression that brings unlimited pricing power in such a competitive landscape, I for one beg to differ. would love to hear peoples insights and perspectives! Just see a treacherous road ahead and not the greatest return even if Brian is up to the task.

Coffee

I have not had coffee in Starbucks in 13 years and recently they opened one near my home in a hotel lobby so I go there to work sometimes and I tried their vanilla latte, hot chocolate, flat white and they all tasted so bad. Why does not Starbucks want to concentrate on quality of products anymore?

Typical mindgame by hedge funds. Doubt the stock could go below 75 if in case we get there, prepare for take off. It's Starbucks... festive season is coming, revenue will go up, just enjoy the discounted stock price.

Changes to the menu?

Fellow Starbucks investors, I have a question for you all. Would you like the “power” to vote on new items / changes to items on the Starbucks menu? I ask as I have just stopped off for my “well done” treat after another “fun” hospital visit only to find the signature breakfast roll has changed! It used to be bacon, sausage, egg and beans. Now it’s just bacon and beans! So this raised the question from my wife “why didn’t you vote to keep it” - we both know she was joking but it did raise the idea that shareholders could have some influence here. If it was offered to let you pick changes or new items, would you do it? And if so… what’s one item you would add?
