When Does Wealth Become Too Much?

I saw a trader get a bit of backlash in her comments after her post @michelle11 and just want to explain something, I’m not against Elon Musk being successful. He took risks, built world-changing companies, and earned his wealth through innovation and execution. What concerns me is what a trillionaire represents. The fact that one individual can accumulate that level of wealth while millions struggle with housing costs, rising bills, stagnant wages, and basic necessities highlights just how extreme the wealth gap has become. What confuses me even more is seeing ordinary middle-class people defend the idea of trillionaires as if it somehow benefits them. You can admire entrepreneurship, ambition, and what Elon has achieved without believing that one person having more wealth than entire nations is a sign of a healthy economy. The issue isn’t that Elon is rich. The issue is that wealth can become so concentrated that the gap between the average person and the ultra-elite becomes almost unimaginable. You can respect the achievement and still question the system that allows such extreme inequality. In fact, I’d argue that’s exactly what we should be doing. Admiring success and questioning whether economic growth is benefiting society broadly enough are not mutually exclusive.

The billionaire worship…

The billionaire worship will never make sense to me. Maybe it’s just me, but I struggle to understand why people are so eager to make billionaires and trillionaires even wealthier, cheering them on as though they’re somehow on the same team. You’re not. Across the world, people are dying, normal working people are having to choose between heating their homes, paying their bills, or putting food on the table to feed their kids. Meanwhile, some of the richest people in history continue to accumulate more wealth than they could spend in a hundred lifetimes. I know investment is investment, but personally I’d rather see success shared a little more evenly than celebrate another trillion being added to someone’s fortune. We’re far closer to being homeless ourselves than we are to ever joining the billionaire club. 🤷‍♀️ he’s disgusting 🤢

No one knows what will happen. All I know is that this has a 94x P/S ratio while still losing money and that’s all I need to short it.
