NUVB reported preliminary net product revenue of $24.7 million for IBTROZI since launch

Nuvation Bio Inc. (NUVB) reported preliminary net product revenue of $24.7 million for IBTROZI since its launch in June 2025, with fourth quarter revenue reaching $15.7 million. The company said 432 patients started treatment on IBTROZI for advanced ROS1-positive non-small cell lung cancer since the drug’s launch, with 216 new patients beginning treatment in the fourth quarter. The treatment adoption rate is approximately six times greater than prior ROS1 tyrosine kinase inhibitor launches based on IQVIA data, according to the company. Nuvation Bio received a $25 million milestone payment from Nippon Kayaku in the fourth quarter following establishment of a reimbursement price in Japan. The company reported preliminary cash, cash equivalents and marketable securities of approximately $529.2 million as of December 31, 2025. On January 11, 2026, the company entered an exclusive license and collaboration agreement with Eisai Co., Ltd. to develop, register and commercialize taletrectinib for ROS1-positive non-small cell lung cancer in Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, Russia, Turkey, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam and India. IBTROZI received FDA approval on June 11, 2025, for treating adult patients with locally advanced or metastatic ROS1-positive non-small cell lung cancer following Priority Review and Breakthrough Therapy designations. The company plans to continue enrollment of its phase 3 study evaluating safusidenib in high-grade and high-risk IDH1-mutant gliomas and pursue business development opportunities to expand its pipeline. The preliminary financial results are subject to adjustment pending completion of the company’s financial closing procedures. Nuvation Bio expects to issue full financial results for the fourth quarter and full year 2025 in March 2026.

$NUVB announced the publication of positive Phase 2 study results for safusidenib in treating grade 2 IDH1-mutant glioma patients. The findings were published in the journal Neuro-Oncology on November 8. The study evaluated 27 patients with IDH1-mutant grade 2 gliomas who had received no prior anticancer therapy except for resection or biopsy. The trial met its primary endpoint with an objective response rate of 44.4%. At 24 months, 87.9% of patients remained progression-free. Median progression-free survival had not been reached as of the March 10, 2023 data cutoff, with a median follow-up time of 28 months. The median duration of response could not be estimated because no progression events had occurred. Adverse events were described as mostly mild to moderate. Grade 3 or greater treatment-related adverse events occurred in five patients (18.5%). Three patients discontinued treatment due to adverse events, two of which investigators considered related to safusidenib. The company noted that a Good Clinical Practice noncompliance issue regarding adverse event collection was identified during the study. Safety data was subsequently re-investigated and re-collected according to study protocol. Safusidenib is an oral, brain-penetrant inhibitor of mutant IDH1. Nuvation Bio is progressing the ongoing G203 study in high-grade IDH1-mutant gliomas, with a protocol amendment planned to finalize the study as a global Phase 3 trial to support potential regulatory approvals. The company stated that as of September 15, 2025, 12 patients remained on treatment with safusidenib. Gliomas are the most common type of brain cancer in adults, with nearly 2,400 people diagnosed with IDH1-mutant gliomas annually in the United States.
